How unfortunate that I had to cut short my fast in the middle of Prayer and Fasting Week. I’ve been feeling sick since Monday but it was only yesterday that I got the chance to pay our office doctor a visit. She diagnosed me with upper respiratory tract infection then prescribed a few medicines for my speedy recovery. Furthermore, she advised me to eat my meals regularly for the medicines to take effect.

I feel sad that I wasn’t able to finish the 5-day fast. Nonetheless, I take comfort in knowing that God ultimately looks at our hearts as we fast — not so much the what but the how.

So as I am praying for my quick healing, I am undeniably still excited for 2013 and my faith goals!
